Hello there! My name is Jonathan Castro and I am a recent graduate of Champlain College’s Computer and Digital Forensics Bachelor of Science program. During my time at Champlain College, I had the opportunity to explore a wide range of different areas within cyber security and digital forensics including, but not limited to, Computer Forensics, Mobile Device Forensics, Industrial Control System (ICS) security, Amazon Web Service (AWS) Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), Penetration Testing, and Open-source Intelligence (OSINT).

The purpose of this site is to publish my notes and research in a way that may help teach those who are new to the field as well as to contribute to the Information Security community as a whole. This site is still a work in progress (hence the lack of blog posts on the site) but below is a list of potential topics that may be discussed in the future:

  • An introduction to OSINT (tools and methodologies)
  • An introductory look at AWS with a focus on DFIR
  • An introductory look at Office 365 with a focus on DFIR
  • Penetration Testing (hacking for the greater good)
  • ICS forensics for newbies

Although this site is a work in progress, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Happy Hunting!
